With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Melody A Langdon of Port Gibson, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Melody left this world on May 7, 2024 at the age of 64, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Melody may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her sister Thelma Marie Smith. She is survived by : her husband David Hammond; her stepson Zachary Hammond; and her siblings, Beverly Hough (Edward), Clarence Smith (Gloria) and Luis Riveria (Tammy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Riverview Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lighthouse Baptist Church (1000 S Main St, Newark, NY 14513). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
