She was predeceased by: her father William J. Powers III. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Christopher Benedict; her children, Jessica Vanacoro (Matt), Patrick Benedict (Holly) and Christopher Benedict (Lauren); and her grandchildren, Parker, Davis Vanacoro, Silas, Oliver, Alexander and Charlie Benedict.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (411 Old Town Rd, Setauket- East Setauket, NY 11733). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Infant Jesus RC Church (110 Myrtle Ave, Port Jefferson, NY 11777).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Eileen's name to a cancer research organization of your choice, in honor of her strength and in hope of a cure.
