It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice C. Bigger (Port Jervis, New York), born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Frederick H. Amrell and Janet S. Gaskell Amrell; her husband Hugh F. "Frank" Bigger; her former life partner Frederick Ebbecke, Sr.; her daughter Donna Lee Ebbecke; her grandson James Richard Patterson; her great grandchild Dillon Thomas Ebbecke; her sister Barbara Devine; her sister-in-law Jennifer Amrell; and her brothers, Frederick and Phillip Amrell.

She is survived by : her children, Frederick Jr. Ebbecke (Michelle) of Pasadena, TX, Janet Burigo (Joseph) of Ormond Beach, FL, Richard Ebbecke (Debra) of Ormond Beach, FL, William Ebbecke (Christine) of Winter Garden, FL, Alice Patterson (Scott) of Westbrookville, NY, Bernadette Bigger of Conway, AR and Tammy Galligan (Michael) of Cuddebackville, NY.; her grandchildren, Freddie, Sandy, Victoria, Bobby, Thomas, Candice, Michael-Ann, Matthew, Tony, Christopher, Joey, Janet-Marie, Ricky, Jaime, Kelly, Joe, Billy, Jessica, Crystal, Scotty, Alyssa, Kayla, Michelle and Andrew; her siblings-in-law, John Devine and Betty Garrity; her pet Bella; and her caregiver Shari Wagner.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home (100 E Main St, Port Jervis, NY 12771). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Name R. C. Church (45 Highland Ave, Otisville, NY 10963).

“My heart aches for everyone in the family. Big Alice (what I called when I was young) has always been kind and loving to me. We always had great talks when I visited New York over the years. Alice had the best laugh and I will always be able to hear that. Alice always made me feel like I was family. She had the biggest heart and shared it with everyone. I will miss her always.
