He is survived by: his parents, James Rickards and Kristine Rickards Sr. (Windish); his fiancé Emmanuela Peralta; his brothers, James Rickards Jr. (Melanie) and Jonathan Rickards; his grandparents, Barbara Windish and Henry Windish; his uncle Kraig Windish; his aunts, Gail Hunsberger and Heather Fischer; and his sister-in-law Amanda Morgan. He is also survived by his cousins, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Michaels name.
