He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoyt, Jr. and Helen Lamica (Kelley); and his sister-in-law Jackie Hoyt. He is survived by: his wife Connie Smith; his children, Scott (Wendy Hoyt), Tammy (Paul Bradley) and Shelly (Edwin LaRose); his grandchildren, Michael Hoyt, Ashley Bradley (Nate Hanson), Matthew Bradley and Cooper Larose; and his siblings, Shirley, James Page, Virginia, Lee Yaddow and Roy Hoyt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home (4 Cedar St, Potsdam, NY 13676). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Madrid Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
