He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald, Sr. Matthews and Ileen Matthews (Bovay); his daughter Debra Matthews Lyon; and his brothers, Tommy Dick, Donald, Jr. and Eddie Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Matthews (Jessica) of White Hills, AZ, Ronald Matthews (Ann) of Massena, Dale Matthews (Allison) of Brasher Falls and Marcia Dillabough. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home (4 Cedar St, Potsdam, NY 13676).
