He was predeceased by: his siblings, Nelson Currier and Connie Shoen. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Castagnier; his grandchildren, Joseph III, McKenna Currier, Nick, Rebecca Lobdell and Audrey Harradine; his sister Carol Currier of Waddington; Joseph Jr. Currier of Massena, Alisa Lobdell of Massena, Jamie Currier of Massena and Joni Harradine of Massena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Massena Humane Society.
