She was predeceased by: her husband Clayton "Tex" Matthys; her sons, Johhny Lee Matthys and Michael Edward Matthys; and her sister Gordonna Kelley. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Matthys (Randy Driscoll) and Shelley Matthys; her grandchildren, Jason Matthys (Tayler Kronsberg), Leah Matthys, Daniel Matthys, Nicholas Stagnitti, Alyssa Stagnitti and Lauren Stagnitti; her great grandchildren, Derrick Matthys, Kian Matthys, Gary Kronsberg and Ella Kronsberg; her sister Patricia Pecina (Larry); and her daughter-in-law Dorothy Kates Matthys. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Garner Funeral Service (10 Lawrence Ave, Potsdam, NY 13676). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Potsdam Public Library or to West Stockholm First Responders, 139 Cty Rt 57, West Stockholm, New York 13696, US.
