He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Barrett and Lena Barrett (Cary); his former wife Kathie Duffner (Jane Artz); his sister Sheila Ann; and his daughter-in-law Darbie Webster.

He is survived by: his sons, William Barrett (Susan) of Potsdam, Steven Barrett Jr. of Michigan and Cory Barrett (Salina) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Riley Barrett of Potsdam, Kylee Dennis of Potsdam, Rhece Barrett of Potsdam and Raegan Barrett of Potsdam; his siblings, Marshall Barrett (Constance), Richard Barrett (Judy), Mitzi Bezduche (Roman) and Sharon Archambeault (Joe); his uncle Reggie Barrett (Judy) of Parishville; and his nieces, Michelle and Becky.
