He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Henry Gifford and Sophia Mildred Baran; his brother Paul Gifford; and his wife Lucille. He is survived by: his children, Lynne Yost (Boris) of Endicott, NY, Douglas Gifford (Jaroslaw Tkacz) of Boston, MA, Jeffrey Gifford (Jennifer Corbo) of Fishkill, NY and Bradley Gifford (Christia Vassiliou) of Atlanta, GA; his brothers, James Gifford, Ernest Gifford, Edwin Gifford and David Gifford; and his grandchildren, Aimee Henson (Kenny), Larissa McGuire (Jake), Rio Callejas, Autumn Villa (Ryan), Erica Yost, Julia Gifford, Alexia Gifford and Christopher Gifford.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the St. Martin de Porres Church (118 Cedar Valley Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
