It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecelia A. Harris (Poughkeepsie, New York), who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cecelia A. Harris to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas; and her siblings, Maria Burke, Thomas "Joe" Burke and Robert Burke. She is survived by: her children, Anne McDermott (Patrick), Maureen Heilmann (Richard), Christopher Harris (Andrea), Sheila Letteri (Jeff), Mark Harris (Christine) and Cecelia; her brothers, Rev. Msg James Burke and John "Jack" Burke; her grandchildren, James McDermott (Clare), Kathleen Caruso (Patrick), Thomas McDermott (Amanda), John Heilmann, Peter Heilmann, Matthew Harris, Miliana Harris, Capri Letteri, Ayden Letteri and Brody Letteri; her great grandchildren, Nico, Madeline, Ryder, Declan, Collin, Nolan, Leighton, Liam, Jack and Avarie; and her sister-in-law Laurie Burke.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc. (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (775 Main St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
