He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cowles and Ethel Cowles; and his brothers, Robert and Frank. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Cowles; his son Steven Cowles (Karen) of Athens, NY; his grandchildren, Megan, Michael and Matthew; his daughter Jessica Berry (John); his grandson Gabriel of New Hampshire; and his sister Ethel May Cowles of Poughkeepsie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery South Road (342 South Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601).
