It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor K. Veltre of Poughkeepsie, New York, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mahoney and Eleanor Neafsey Mahoney (Edna); her husband Rudolph J. "Rudy" Veltre; and her siblings, William F. Mahoney, Margaret M. Renaud and Edward V. Mahoney.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne M. Carfora (Joseph) of Newburgh, Thomas J. Veltre (Shari) of New York City and Vincent P. Veltre of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Monica J. Hanke (Lawrence), Dr. Theresa M. Mastronardi (Jeffrey), Dr. Joseph M. Carfora, Paul J. M. Veltre, Vincent T. Veltre (Nedine), Kathryn E. Veltre, Brian J. Veltre and Mary T. Rea (Benjamin); and her great grandchildren, Jack, Daniel, Abigail, Maxwell, Mila, Maisie, Logan and Jordan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
