Elinor Whalen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elinor Whalen of Poughkeepsie, New York, born in Ridgewood, New York, who passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry and Matilda Nehls (Timm); her significant other William Whalen, Jr.; her sister Jacqueline; her brother-in-law George Rubin; her son-in-law Thomas Nerf; and her daughter Maureen Whalen Rosati.

She is survived by: her family, Elinor and William; her children, William Whalen III (Linda), Kathleen Whalen Nerf, Peggy Whalen Swingle and Michael Whalen (Margaret); her son-in-law Salvatore Rosati; and her grandchildren, Maryellen Link, William Whalen IV, Kara Steffensen, Sara Whalen White, Kristine Jackson, Susan Nerf, Katherine Doyle, Michael Whalen, Jr., Lee Evans, Matthew Whalen, Keith Swingle, Danielle Rosati, Meredith Whalen and Erik Swingle (These). She is also survived by her kids, grandkids and her great-grandchildren.
