He is survived by: his wife Lynn Valley Nelson of Poughkeepsie; and his children, Scott Nelson (Penny) of Madisonville, TN, Karla Nelson of Poughkeepsie, NY, Carol Savelli of Albany, NY, Beth Heady (Valley) of Rhinebeck, NY and Bruce Valley (Sophia) of Holly Springs, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
