He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anna Markouizos and Theodore Markouizos; his wife Thalia; his children, Ted (Vickie) and Anna (Alen); his grandchildren, Adrianna, Nicholas and Julia; and his brother Demetrios.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society in George's memory.
