It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Isaacson of Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Henry C. Miller; her son Mickey Isaacson; her niece Deborah Hartswick; and her siblings, Harry, William Miller, Alice Rogers and Margaret Hartswick.
She is survived by: her spouse Dean L. Isaacson of Poughkeepsie; her sons, Henry (Dawn) of Poughkeepsie and Robert Isaacson of Poughkeepsie; her daughter-in-law Christina Isaacson of Lafayette, IN; her sibling's children, Perry Hartswick (Michelle) of Millbrook, NY and Janet Wiser (Kevin) of Southbury, CT; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Hernandez, Daniel Isaacson (Taylor) of Schenectady, Dr. Erica Dunphy (Shaun) of Blythewood, SC, Lauren Isaacson of Lafayette, IN and Dr. Victoria Isaacson of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (808 Traver Rd, Pleasant Valley, NY 12569). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Verbank Cemetery (11 N Clove Rd, Verbank, NY 12585).
Memorial donations may be made to Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue, Dover Plains, NY, a place where Gertrude loved to visit to spend time with the horses.
