He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Herring and Louise Herring; and his siblings, James Earl Herring, Shirley Owens, Blaney Herring, James Oscar Herring and Christine Herring.
He is survived by: his children, Skye Herring (TN), Trey Herring (NY), Jade Herring (NC), Raheem Pittman (NY) and Terry Herring (AL); and his siblings, Fay Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY, Betty Ann Lee of Poughkeepsie, NY and David Herring of Poughkeepsie, NY. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
