He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. O'Shea Sr. and Mildred Galbraith O'Shea; his wife Nancy; his siblings, Jim (Teri) and Marilyn Johnson (James); his sister-in-law Teri O'Shea; and his goddaughter Lorraine Heneka.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Tess), Patty (Tom Cleary), Steve (Adrienne) and Sandy (Jeff Farnell); his son-in-law Pete Viola; his grandchildren, David Viola (Jessica), Scott Sweeney (Lisa), Brian Viola, Katie Hennessey (Jason), Ryan, Kyle O'Shea and Kerry Schweizer (Greg); his great grandchildren, Liam, Camilla Viola, Wyatt O'Shea, Samuel Sweeney, Conor, Ellie and Emma Hennessey; and his family, Marshall and Sterling.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc. (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (239 Church St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hudson Valley Hospice or the John and Nancy O'Shea Charitable Fund held at the Community Foundation.
