She was predeceased by: her husband Kestutis Simanavicius. She is survived by: her daughter Sanda (Rick); her sister Renata Alinskas of Ridgewood; her siblings-in-law, Rev. Augustinas Simanavicius and Ruta Simanavicius; and her nieces and nephews, Rimas, Linas Alinskas, Algis Rajeckas, Anthony, Johnny Simanavicius, Antanas Ragazinskas, Audrey Trachtenberg, Zita Melvin, Rasa Chomyc, Dale, Laima, Lina, Daiva, Irmina, Jolanta Simanavicius, Aldona Jaksevicius, Violeta Laurin, Margarita Kybartas, Nijole Clarke and Algie Powers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Neringa.org, a Lithuanian summer camp in Vermont that Ligija strongly supported and helped shape Sanda to be the person she is today.
