She was predeceased by: her husband Kestutis Simanavicius. She is survived by: her daughter Sanda (Rick); her sister Renata Alinskas of Ridgewood; her siblings-in-law, Rev. Augustinas Simanavicius and Ruta Simanavicius; and her sibling's children, Rimas, Linas Alinskas, Algis Rajeckas, Anthony, Johnny Simanavicius, Antanas Ragazinskas, Audrey Trachtenberg, Zita Melvin, Rasa Chomyc, Dale, Laima, Lina, Daiva, Irmina, Jolanta Simanavicius, Aldona Jaksevicius, Violeta Laurin, Margarita Kybartas, Nijole Clarke and Algie Powers.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Martin de Porres Parish (118 Cedar Valley Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Neringa.org, a Lithuanian summer camp in Vermont that Ligija strongly supported and helped shape Sanda to be the person she is today.
