Lore Schoenfeld Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lore Schoenfeld (Poughkeepsie, New York), who passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lore farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lore is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Denz and Frida Denz; her husband Karlheinz Schoenfeld; and her brother Fritz Denz. She is survived by: her children, Fred, Ellen, Karen and Andrea (Bassel); and her brother Rolf Denz. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lore's memory to Mended Hearts Chapter 5, c/o 974 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The family also encourages others to consider organ donation.
