He was predeceased by: his father F. Peter Malet. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Rowley Malet; his son Christopher Michael Malet (Kelly Anne) of Poughkeepsie; his sister-in-law Monica Quinn Malet of Poughkeepsie; his niece Kate Malet Rogowski (Eric); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alice and Sawyer; his nephew Timothy Malet (Shannon); his great-nieces and great-nephews, McKenna and Brady; his sibling's child Lauren Hackbarth Loehner (Ian); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emmy, Stella, Brenna Renee Hackbarth and Peter Linn. He is also survived by three siblings.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made in "Memory of Mike Malet" to the Alzheimer's Association, Hudson Valley Chapter or to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY.
