He is survived by: his wife Kate; his daughters, Vanessa O'Keefe (Chris) and Lauren Van Derveer (Steve); his grandsons, Cole, Shane and Dean; his siblings, Barbara Reiner (Kurt), Tricia Sims (Dan) and Robert van der Veer (Debra); and his sister-in-law Anne Bogen (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peter's memory to the Camp Nejeda Foundation.
