He is survived by: his close friend Gordon Odermann of Troy; and his siblings, Jerry Slater (Jenn) of Poughkeepsie, Doug Slater of Poughkeepsie, Rod Slater (Georgene) of Poughkeepsie, Pam Bickford, Vanessa Butler of Poughkeepsie and Maureen Slater of Catskill.
