He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Rugar and Edward Rugar; Irma Rugar. He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Rugar of Pleasant Valley and Phil Rugar (Sue) of Clinton Corners; his siblings, David Rugar (Shirley) of Millbrook and Christine Rugar of Hyde Park; his granddaughters, Jessica Rugar (Cai Gorman) of Bath and Rebecca Rugar of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; his sister-in-law Phyllis Mueller; his nephew Ron Mueller; and his niece Christy Campbell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
