The memory of Richard T. Long Sr. of Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertin Long and Henrietta Long; and his siblings, Bertin Long and Nancy Napoleon. He is survived by: his wife Janice Long; his son Richard T. Long, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lori Long; his grandchildren, Richard III and Sara; and his siblings, Jack Long and MaryJane Riley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home (110 Fulton Ave, Arlington, NY 12603). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the St. Peter's Cemetery (171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
