Though Robert John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thaddeaus Sofka and Diane Pizzarelli Sofka; and his sister Linda. He is survived by: his children, Ryan J. Sofka (Maeghan Casale) of Poughkeepsie and Kimberly D. Sofka of Lagrange; and his grandson Thaddeaus Sofka.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
