It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth N. Janicik Collins (Poughkeepsie, New York), who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry and Olive; her husband Anthony C. Janicik; her former life partner Charles C. Collins; her daughter-in-law Debbie; and her grandson Sean.

She is survived by : her stepchildren, Jim, David, Gary, Ed and Pamela; her grandchildren, Adrianne, Juliet, Cliff, Stefan and Matt; and her great grandchildren, Kara, Abby, Cora and Colin.

They were inducted into the Dutchess County Sports Hall of Fame, and on April 27, 1997, "Janicik Field" in Red Oaks Mill was dedicated, providing a lasting tribute to their commitment and contributions to our youth.
