She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mastrovito and Adelaide Mastrovito; her children, Joanne Gunn Meckelvaney, Denise Gunn Totten and James Gunn; and her siblings, Josephine Norton, Helen Campbell, Gloria Veach and John Mastrovito.
She is survived by: her children, Donna (James Fischer), Edward (Jessica), Jeanette Gunn Beaver, Michael (Cynthia), Maureen Gunn Sears, Marie (James Greaves), Thomas (Helen), William (Dina), Elisa (Frank Merendino), Richard (Lisa) and Andrea (Ralph Savino). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home (371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A Mass will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (775 Main St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of Virginia T. Gunn.
