He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Gorton and Marjorie Benton Gorton; his brother Wesley Gorton; his grandson Anthony Citro; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Tillson, Sam, William, Norman, Russell Van Loan Sr., Charlie Gorr, Robert Boyle, George Rankin, Elenore Niemann, Ardith Gorr and Mary Gorton.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Niemann; his sons, Forrest Gorton (Linda) and Dwayne Gorton; his grandchildren, Craig Gorton (Denise), Kyle Raymond, Cody Raymond, Deanna Gorton and Angela Citro; his great grandchild Braydon Greene; his siblings, June Tillson, Roy, Doug, Clair, Keith and Gail; and his sisters-in-law, Edith Van Loan, Lillian Boyle, Darlene Rankin, Susan, Lorraine, Sharon Niemann, Margaret, Mary Jane, Clara and Shirley Gorton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
