He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Smith and Caroline Cretaro Smith; and his siblings, Antoinette McAvan, Frank and William Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Edward V. Smith (Mary) of Preble and Kristin Maria Laurie (Paul) of North Wales, PA; his grandchildren, Edward B. Smith (Sarah) of Rochester and Victoria Magliano (John); his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Theodore Smith; and his niece Kelli Sweeney (Joe) of Syracuse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Smith's name are asked to consider the American Heart Association.
