It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angel Cortes Sr. in Queens, New York, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Wilma. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Brooks, Angel Luis Cortes Jr. (Brenda), Irma Cortes and Luis Angel Cortes (Gigi); and his siblings, Aida (Cheo), Ana, Efrain (Vicky), Eva (Johnny), Hector and Jose (Nancy). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
