He was predeceased by: his parents, Ione Jones and Cecil Neblett; his stepfather Owen Jones; his brothers, Victor Callender and Bucky; and his close friend Cynthia Delores Clark.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Callender; his granddaughters, Joy and Denise; his siblings, Patsy, Veronica, Marcia, Carolyn, Lynette, Carlisle, Cecil, Sandra, Cortez, Anna, Pinky and Roger; and his pets, Sheldon and Luna.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. Stutzmann & Son (224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A repast will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the All Souls Crematory (72-02 Astoria Blvd S, East Elmhurst, NY 11370).
