Areti Sotiriou Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Areti Sotiriou (Queens, New York) is shared. Areti, born on March 30, 1931, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Areti will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Areti by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Areti is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Areti’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Andreas; and her sons, Christos, Nicos, Sotiris, Kostantinos and Andrew Jr..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph Farenga & Sons (38-08 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria, NY 11105). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Demetrios Cathedral (30-11 30th Dr, Queens, NY 11102).
