It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Austin Robert Downey of Queens, New York, born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh R. Downey and Barbara Nardiello. He is survived by: his stepmother Susan Downey; his siblings, Stephanie Ruhland (John), Kevin Downey (Caitlin) and Courtnie Porter (Willie); and his siblings' children, Connor, Carson, Elijah, McKenna, Cassidy, Dakota, Scarlett and Savannah.

Donations may be made in Austin's memory to EMS Fire Department of New York Help Fund.
