With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard J. Fitzsimons of Queens, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Maura Kelerchian, Bob Fitzsimons, Laurie Dunwoody, Sheila Scheurer, Terry Fitzsimons and Tom Fitzsimons; his wife Laura; his son Bernard; his granddaughter Kerry Rose; his son-in-law Bob Scheurer; his parents, Richard Fitzsimons and Agnes "Megga" Soutar; and his siblings, Mary Smith, Richie, John and Patricia Fenton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home (582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's RC Church (40 Alden St, Cranford, NJ 07016).
