It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Lavan of Queens, New York, born in Huntington Station, New York, who passed away on December 8, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Lavan and Kathy Lavan. He is survived by: his siblings, Noreen, Rev. Mike, Patty and Sean Lavan; his sister-in-law Nereida Lavan; and his siblings' children, Kira Rivera, Gabe Rivera and Breanna Lavan.
When the pandemic hit, he carried a gift-wrapped noisy, jangly toy around in his car for months (even saving it after a car crash) until he could see his niece and give it to her in person.
