It is with sadness that the passing of Gladys Chaparro (Queens, New York) is shared. Gladys, born on March 6, 1956, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marina Loperena and Ramon Chaparro. She is survived by: her siblings, Benjamin, Meryl, Sonia, Wanda, David and Richie; her sister-in-law Luz; her godmother Madrina Carmen; her nieces and nephews, Ettienne, Maileen, Joshua, Krystal, Brittany, Eliana, Noah and Sarah; and her great-nephew Adrian.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leo F. Kearns Funeral Home (61-40 Woodhaven Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Resurrection Ascension Roman Catholic Church (85-25 61st Rd, Rego Park, NY 11374).
Donations may be made to Saint Peter & Paul's Parish, 71 S 3rd St., Brooklyn, NY 11249, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of Gladys.
