She was predeceased by: her husbands, George Zuker and O. K. Smith; and her parents, Herman Holtberg and Dorothy Holtberg. She is survived by: her siblings, Lorraine Woodman and David Holtberg (Elaine); her niece Courtney Dobbins (Tim); and her nephew Charles Cotton.

In lieu of flowers, Joan requested that donations be made to Buford Presbyterian Church.
