He is survived by: his son John Thomas Whalen (Maggie); his girlfriend Carol Bram of Warrensburg, NY; his daughter Jennifer Hayes MD (Jason); his grandchildren, John, Daniel, James and Patricia Whalen; his daughters, Kathryn, Sophia and Mary Grace Hayes; his nieces and nephews, Maureen Whalen (Tim), Mary Passamonte, Timothy Whalen (Darlene) and Charles Whalen MD (Doug); his great-nieces, Katelyn Dorey Sheehan (Nathan) of Ryan Dorey, MD and Meghan Urban; and his nieces and nephews, Steven Rozowicz (Monica), Mariah Passamonte, Matthew Passamonte, Maggie Whalen, Sean Whalen, Olivia, Celeste, Judson and Sam Whalen.
