Janet Goldman wrote a sympathy message

“To the extended Thaler family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your father - Rabbi Thaler was beloved by all and the best possible role model of a true Jewish Mentch. He added a touch of magic to my childhood that will never be forgotten. What a blessing it is to call him my Rabbi - which I still do today after all these years. He made Queensboro Hill unforgettable and will live on in all of our Jewish neshomot- which we owe to him. Gratefully, Janet Fox Goldman”
