He was loved and cherished by many people including : his daughters, Dena (Steve) and Judy (Rabbi Steve); his brother Dr. Robert Thaler (Judy); his grandchildren, Shai (Naamah), Oren (Tzlil), Tal, Shaked, Arielle, Tamar (Daniel), Elan (Leora), Gilad (Serena) and Itai (Maris); and his great grandchildren, Eli, Yuval and Omer.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

“To the extended Thaler family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your father - Rabbi Thaler was beloved by all and the best possible role model of a true Jewish Mentch. He added a touch of magic to my childhood that will never be forgotten. What a blessing it is to call him my Rabbi - which I still do today after all these years.
