As we bid Bertha farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Bertha is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George P. Harrington and Grace M. Harrington (Mason); her husband Martin E. LaVigne; her daughter Linda M. Johnson; and her sister Josephine Masterson.
She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Columbetti (Skip) of Belfair, Washington; her grandchildren, Dennis Johnson (Sue) of Whitehall and Amy Johnson (Joe Boduch, Jr.) of Warrensburg; and her brother Donald Harrington of Taberg. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
