He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillipe Abbate and Bettina Abbate (Depasquale). He is survived by: his wife Andrea; and his daughters, Brenda Scovello-Seeber (Phil Seeber) and Janice Goca-Litvack (Michael Litvack). He is also survived by four grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
