He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick LaPlaca and Pat LaPlaca of Whitehall. He is survived by: his wife Alix Vander Els; and his siblings, Chris LaPlaca (Leah) of Farmington, CT, Laurie Wilbur (Francis) of Whitehall and Damian LaPlaca of San Juan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
