He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Calkins VanHorn and Olive Vivian VanHorn (Bowman); and his spouse Gunvor "Gunnie" Ann Rehnstedt VanHorn. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Lawson (Jodie) of Buffalo, Clay VanHorn of Randolph, Michael VanHorn (Sarah) of Overland Park and John VanHorn (Kathy) of Ashville; his grandchildren, Scott Lawson, Sarah Gustafson (Corey), Laura Kibler (Tim), Nathaniel VanHorn (Liz), Elizabeth VanHorn and Annika VanHorn; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Mara Kibler, Iris Lawson, Sonya and Chase Gustafson.
