He is survived by: his close friend Kathy Keech; his children, Michelle Maynard, Ashley Simmons (Mark) of Randolph, Cheyenne Sellen of Fremont, OH, Rikki Maynard of Huntersville, NC and Joseph Maynard of Morganton, NC.; his grandchildren, Zackary, Brandon, Andrew, Ryan, Parker, Myles, Noah, Raelynn and Lincoln; and his brothers, Steven Maynard (Kimberly) of Puryear, TN and Danny Maynard (Vicki) of Fremont, OH..
