She is survived by: her children, Sharon E. Twist (Kenneth), Thomas A. Knowles (Lynn) and Rosemarie A. Sabey (Arthur); her grandchildren, Jasmine (Scott), Shelby (Joseph), Stephanie (Mark), Justin (Lindsay), Andrew (Dawna) and Tim (Bonnie); her great grandchildren, Sierra, Ethan, Mackenzie, Gavin, Joey, Evelynn, Josephine, Michael, Milo, Celeste, Amaya and Arturo; her brother Larry Waters (Prudence); and her sister-in-law Ida Mae Waters. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan's honor to the American Heart Association.
