With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard S. Powell of Ravena, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 10, 2026 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard S. Powell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Powell and Fanny Powell Jr. (Burhans); and his siblings, Charlie Ed Powell, Eleanor Duncan, Velma Kiley, Shirley Gazak, Marjorie Kudlack and Larry Powell.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jones Powell; his daughters, Mary Beth Powell, Yvonne Powell, Lynn Powell and Tricia Williams (Mark); his grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa, Kyle, Amanda, Lisa, Elise, Trevor and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Madison, Jordyn, Max, Selah, Caleb, Isla, Evelyn and Jude; and his brothers, Donnie Powell and Marvin Powell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Rit can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
