He was predeceased by: his parents, Cono DeGruccio and Frances DeGruccio (Scaturico); his wife Eleanor Mary Dolan of Raphael's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Susan, Rosario "Sal" (Sara), Florance, Michael (Alice) and Marion DeGruccio.
He is survived by: his cousin Mary Jane Mancini; his nephew Michael DeGruccio Jr.; his great-niece Denise Dolan; and his caregiver Anne Banez. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burnett and White Funeral Home (7461 S Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Christopher's Church (7411 S Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571).
As the Frank Sinatra song goes, he did it, "My Way," which was his plan all along, and in the words of Billie Holiday, "I'll Be Seeing You."Memorial donations may be made in Vinny's memory to Hudson Valley Hospice.
