With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Anne Palumbo in Red Hook, New York, born in Westchester County, New York, who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phyllis Anne Palumbo to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Grubiak and Anne Grubiak (Roycik); and her husband Galizio Rocco Palumbo. She is survived by: her children, Rocco Palumbo (Veronica) of Bedford, NY, LeeAnne Minai (Joseph) of Fairfax, VA, Christopher Palumbo of Richfield Springs, NY, Daniel Palumbo (Jackie) of Yorktown, NY, Adrienne Bautista (Michael) of Red Hook, NY and Laura Pulsifer of Rhode Island; and her sisters, Nancy Bruder of Yonkers and Clovey Shocker of Bronxville. She is also survived by grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burnett and White Funeral Home (7461 S Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571). A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Christopher's Church (7411 S Broadway, Red Hook, NY 12571).
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Red Hook Community Center, a place Phyllis enjoyed and felt connected to in the months before her passing.
